Why Don’t You Just Kill Yourself, caco?

Paranoia got touched off again today. Once again, it was all thanks to Fox News. They had a segment on a serial killer who actually petitioned the court to be put to death, and they kept talking about his mental illness and how he would rather die than deal with it, and how being killed would be far preferable to life in prison, and on and on and on. I kept thinking to myself, “Gee, you guys are terrible at this, if you’re trying to provoke me into doing something stupid.” Oh, that paranoia! It does the craziest things!

I told the P-Doc about all this at my appointment today. All he had to say was, “Well, it takes awhile for the new dosage I’ve given you to take effect.” I have a feeling I’ll be dealing with this problem, medicine or no, since I’m totally convinced (in my insanity) that somebody in the mainstream media is out to get me. I complained a bit about the new medicine he put me on and how it was making me sleep all the time, so he took me off it until my next review. He gave me a slip for a drug test, to take upon my return from a visit I plan to Lexington, just as an extra motivator not to get peer pressured into anything (like I need any further motivation not to).

Anyway, I also told him about my Internet habits and he suggested staying away from websites and friends that had nothing but negative reinforcement to offer. He had a few choice words to say about the inferiority complexes that prompt nerds into such behavior, but I’ll leave those to your imagination!
