Take Me Down To The [REDACTED]

Erin reminded me of this one a couple days ago — I had forgotten it. It took place back when I was working for her. She called to ask if I was able to come in to work on some computer problem, I said yes but had no car, so she would need to come and pick me up. I waited until she arrived, got in her vehicle, then said, “I beg you, please — I need you to take me to [REDACTED].” [REDACTED] is my hometown and a 76 mile trip. She asked me why, but I kept refusing to answer. Understandably she didn’t want to take me for completely unknown reasons in the middle of work hours, so she kept pressing me. Eventually I grabbed her arm and said, “Just trust me like you’ve never trusted me before, if you have any faith in me at all you’ll take me to [REDACTED] right now!” I was on the verge of tears. I can’t remember what touched this off. I don’t think she ended up taking me that day.
